We’ve always known that stress can kill, that it can lead to sleepless nights and anxiety filled days.  We understand that it affects our health and impairs the quality of our lives. Now scientific studies have shown that stress can, in fact, contribute to diseases like heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes.

The Idea:


Zaanti is a half-hour show that tackles stress head-on.

Using guided meditation and mindfulness techniques, Zaanti teaches viewers to center themselves, breathe and learn to live in the moment. It teaches how to master our own minds, to conquer stress and the overwhelming effects it can have on our bodies. Most of all it teaches that taking care of ourselves doesn’t have to be hard, doesn’t have to take hours out your day and requires only the desire to make it happen.

The Show:


In our first episode, we learn how to breathe. Breathing is something we all do, every minute of every day of our lives but we are rarely aware of it. Viewers will learn the right way to breathe, they will learn a technique that will become the foundation of a new process of healing and enlightenment. Taking a few moments to focus on our breath, to control it, to feel it will help us to understand it and to understand the relationship between our bodies and our minds.

We move into a short, guided meditation to practice these techniques and to begin to learn how to reduce stress, dampen anxiety and get control of our minds.

We finish the show with a brief mindfulness exercise that the viewers can take with them into their day.

Other episode will, like our demo video, focus on simple, guided visualizations to help viewer take back their minds and find peace within themselves.

But the show doesn’t end there. Episodes can be posted to the show’s website for viewers to use whenever they feel stress. Also, brief, focused webisodes can be posted online that viewers can download to cell phones or ipods that will give them a lifeline they can use when stress overtakes them throughout the day.

Filled with short breathing exercises, visualizations and mindfulness techniques geared for specific situations they can be carried by viewers and used whenever needed to help them conquer stress. Each short clip will also drive viewers back to the show to learn expanded techniques and to DVDs which can take them further.

Meditation and mindfulness can be fun and effective and when people are successful with it, they find it becomes a part of their lives they can’t live without.
